Meet our
Team Leaders

Jeannie joined the Grannies with the simple goal of making new friends, in turn what she found was so much more. She firmly believes in doing at least one thing every day that brings happiness, from friends on the Grannies, her 3 children & 6 grandchildren. Since the tragedy in 2021, survivors guilt led to support, love and encouragement from the group to keep pushing forward. Her Grannies remind her of the resilience, passion and potential that exists in the later part of life.

Christine

Christine joined the Grannies and quickly fell in love with being part of a parade team again. She came from a parade background as a baton twirler in high school and aerobics instructor after, these creative disciplines led Christine as the Grannies Lead Choreographer by the end of her first year. Christine loves the Grannies and has found friendship, staying active and enjoys all the Grannies have to offer the community.

Jennifer has always admired MDG tradition and knew that one day she'd want to be a part of it and start dancing again. The excitement of parade day, the love and appreciation of the crowd, the joy the Grannies bring to people through dance fueled her desire to join. She feels honored to be a part of this remarkable group of strong, kind, talented, dedicated and fun loving women who bring so much joy to others through their performances.

Kaye has been inspired to join the Grannies since seeing a TV interview over 20 years ago, she knew during retirement she'd have more time to commit to making a difference. She believes in living without regrets, especially when it comes to cherishing the time spent with loved ones and doing what brings joy to our hearts. The Grannies have brought her a new sense of purpose and fulfillment in retirement, she is grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community and spread joy through performance.
